Day 01 Arrival to San Jose/Finca Rosa Blanca

A private transfer from Best of Costa Rica will greet you at the airport and drive you to Finca Rosa Blanca Country Inn, a first-class boutique hotel located 30 minutes away from San Jose . Finca Rosa Blanca offers breathtaking views of the Central Valley volcanoes, cloud forests, and coffee plantations.

Day 02 Poas Volcano and La Paz Waterfall Gardens
Our bilingual guide will pick you up in the early morning at Finca Rosa Blanca for a private tour of the spectacular Poas Volcano National Park . At an elevation of over 8000 ft, Poas Volcano will reward you with magnificent sights and gorgeous hiking offerings. The bottom of its mile-wide, 900 ft. deep main crater is lined with a stunning aquamarine sulfurous lake and steam geysers.
Following Poas, the driver/guide will take you to La Paz Waterfall Gardens , a magical nature park where the Rain Forest and Cloud Forest coexist. Professionally designed trails and platforms provide access to four breathtaking waterfalls. The Park also features Butterfly and Hummingbird Gardens . Following your eco-adventure, your driver/guide will return you to Finca Rosa Blanca by late afternoon.

Day 03 Flight to Lapa Rios
A transfer will drive you from Finca Rosa Blanca to thelocal Airport to board your morning flight to Lapa Rios, an exciting destination for true nature enthusiasts. Its unique facilities are artfully embedded in the lush rain forest canopy. The panoramic ocean views and bird-watching opportunities are truly mesmerizing.

Day 04 Lapa Rios
*Suggested activities: Hiking! All guided tours in the Lapa Rios Reserve help support the ongoing maintenance and land acquisition for their private reserve. By engaging local guides, you actually contribute to the conservation of the ecosystem! Horseback riding, kayaking, world-class sport fishing, dolphin-watching boat rides, and other exciting day adventures are also offered.

Day 05 Lapa Rios
*Suggested activities: Early Bird Tour. Share the cool morning air with the over 319 bird species that inhabit the reserve. Ride to nearby Matapalo Beach or up the mountain for a two-hour guided nature walk. The knowledgeable guide will bring a high-end Swarovski telescope to facilitate numerous sightings of exotic species of birds, morpho butterflies, monkeys, and other mammals. A delicious breakfast will be waiting for you at around 8:15am .

Day 06 Flight to Hotel Punta Islita
The Lapa Rios shuttle will drive you to the airstrip for a morning departure for Hotel Punta Islita, a proud member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World. Activities at Hotel Punta Islita range from the adventurous to the sedate and include nature hikes, ocean kayaking, tennis, sport fishing, mountain biking, horse back riding, exploring nearby beaches on rented 4x4’s, and a full line of spa services. Day 07 Hotel Punta Islita
*Suggested activities: Horseback riding. Gallop through Punta Islita’s private beach or canter through the generous offering of trails and dirt roads surrounding the hotel property. A bilingual guide will enhance your encounters with the monkeys and bird species that will line your trails. Along your path, you will be rewarded by spectacular ocean views while experiencing cattle ranching- Costa Rican style!

Day 08 Hotel Punta Islita

Day 09 Hotel Punta Islita
