Karin Zurcher was born and raised in Costa Rica and from an early age explored its geographic beauty and unique charm. Her extensive travel throughout the country instilled a genuine appreciation of its lush landscapes and exciting adventures. Karin graduated from Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania.

Upon returning to her home country, she established Best of Costa Rica as a specialized agency that offers highly personalized customer service to a select clientele of savvy travelers.

She lives in San Jose with her husband and daughter. An avid runner, she loves high intensity adventure travel and gourmet food. Now, she has started a new project and is working at El Silencio Lodge, she still gives advise to the agency and we wish her luck in her new hotel!!
